NOPEST

NOPEST

NoPest is a FetOpen H2020 project that explores new solutions to counteract oomycete infections in agriculture. We will use a combined approach of peptide aptamers and precision farming tools to solve disease issues in commercial crops. NoPest aims to develop an environmentally friendly approach for crop protection as an alternative to conventional chemical pesticides. Televitis group leads the fifth work package of NoPest. It aims to develop and apply new tools based on non-invasive sensing technologies and artificial intelligence for monitoring downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola) in grapevine and potato late blight (Phytophthora infestans). Moreover, the new phenotyping tools can be used for assessing the performance of the new generation of pesticides under lab and field conditions.
